Vivo V27 Pro review

in 10 points

Design The curved panel of the V27 Pro contributes to its slim form factor. The handset is comfortable to hold, but it gets a little slippery. That said, the matte-finish color changing glass is the USP of the device.

Display The Vivo V27 Pro sports a 6.78" 120Hz FHD+ Curved OLED display. The bezels are thin and the outdoor visibility is commendable.

The panel also supports HDR10+ and is Widevine L1 certified.

Rear camera

The V27 Pro packs a 50MP+8MP+2MP triple camera setup. The primary camera is impressive as it captures plenty details and accuracy in daylighting conditions. It retains details with minimum noise even in lowlighting. The Portrait mode does a good job too.

Front camera For selfies and video calling, the V27 Pro features a massive 50MP camera. It captures excellent details and accurate colors. And, the Portrait mode does a good job at edge detection and maintains details.

Hardware At the core of the device is Dimensity 8200 SoC paired with up to 12GB of DDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It handles most tasks without any hiccups but does tend to heat and slow down a little when undergoing highly intensive multitasking.

Software The Vivo V27 Pro runs on FunTouch OS13 based on Android 13. It is loaded with a ton of features. Nonetheless, I wish it had better animations and less bloatware.

Battery For a casual user, the 4,600mAh battery of the V27 Pro can easily last a day. Even if you stream movies, play games, scroll through social media, you'll have around 20-25% battery remaining at the end of the day.

Charging Vivo includes a 66W power adaptor in the box. Even though it is not the fastest solution right now, it does get the job done. You can charge the device from 0-100% in under an hour.

verdict With upgrades to the screen and camera, the V27 Pro is a good sucessor to its predecessor. However, it lacks some features like stereo speakers., which are available on devices in the same price segment. But if you want your phone to stand out from the rest, it is definetly worth checking out.
