Honda 2023 City and City e:HEV launched

Honda has launched the 2023 City and City e:HEV in India today. It competes in the Indian market with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia and VW Vitus. Unlike Honda none of its competitors offer a strong hybrid version in the market.

The Honda City 2023 is BS-6 RDE compliant and supports E20 fuel.

Honda City 2023: Design

The design changes to the 2023 version of the Honda City include a new sporty front grille with diamond chequered flag pattern, a new front bumper with carbon wrapped lip and sporty fog lamp garnish. At the rear there is a new bumper with sporty carbon-wrapped diffuser and body coloured sporty trunk lip spoiler and new R16 dual-tone diamond-cut multi-spoke alloys.

New Honda City ADAS

The 2023 version of the City now features ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) the hybrid version of the car used to sport ADAS before as well but now Honda has added this technology to the naturally aspirated version of the car as well.

Honda has introduced the 2023 version of the City with ADAS and 7 cool features like Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow, Road Departure Mitigation System, Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Lead Car Departure Notification System, and Auto High-Beam.

Honda City 2023: Engine, Transmission, Power and Fuel Economy

Honda City 2023 is offered with two powertrains - a naturally aspirated 1.5 L DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine producing 120 bhp and 145 nm of torque while returning a fuel economy of 18.4 kmpl and the hybrid version houses the same petrol mill that works in tandem with the hybrid system producing 124.27 bhp and 253 nm of torque while returning a fuel economy of 27/13 kmpl. The naturally aspirated version is offered with a 6-speed MT and a 7-Speed CVT while the hybrid version is only offered with a CVT option.

Honda City 2023 features include - a 7 inch instrument cluster, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, One- Touch Electric Sunroof, Web Link smart connectivity, Ambient Lighting, 8 speakers surround sound system and LED Interior Lamps and Paddle Shifters.
